Locums – Princeton, West Virginia, Urgent Care NP/PA Job

Clinical Role:

• Locum tenens opportunity

• Seeking a board certified or truly board eligible Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

• Start date: November 2, 2026

• Estimated 20 shifts per month

• No call

• Minimum experience required:

  • 2 years in urgent care, or

  • 1 year in emergency medicine

• Must be comfortable treating all ages, including pediatric patients ages 6 months and older

• Patient population: approximately 80% adults and 20% pediatrics

• Average volume: 3–4 patients per hour

• Must be comfortable with splinting, orthopedic injuries, and wound care

• Typical presentations include cold/flu symptoms, rashes, abrasions, sprains, and minor burns

• High-acuity patients are referred to the local emergency department

• Must be willing to travel between Princeton, Beckley Harper Road, and Beckley Crossing

• Must be comfortable working independently, including solo coverage

• Sites are staffed with 1–3 providers per day

• A physician is available remotely for escalation when no physician is onsite

• Medical assistants and radiology technologists onsite

• EMR: Epic
