Locums - Belfast, Maine | Anesthesiology Opportunity

Clinical Role

Seeking a Board Certified Anesthesiologist for an ongoing locums opportunity in Belfast, Maine. Full-time availability is preferred, although candidates offering less than full-time coverage will be considered. Physicians perform their own cases with no CRNA supervision required. IMLC accepted.

Assignment Details

• Start Date: ASAP; estimated credentialing timeframe of 60-90 days
• Schedule: 7:00 am-3:30 pm
• Weeknight Call: Approximately every third night; flexible
• Weekend Call: 24-hour call approximately 1 weekend per month
• Call Response Time: 30 minutes
• Case Volume: Approximately 14-16 surgical cases per day, including endoscopy
• Anesthesia Sites: Three sites operating daily, including OR and endoscopy
• Patient Population: Ages 3+
• OB: Approximately 4-6 deliveries per month; anesthesiologists may leave after epidural initiation but must remain available for callback
• Procedures: Adult general surgery, minor nerve blocks, plexus anesthesia, epidural, spinal and regional anesthesia, obstetrical cases, acute pain management, arterial line insertion, and management of acute volume/BP issues
• Trauma: None
• EMR: Epic
• Requirements: Board Certified; experience with Epic required
• Licensure: Active Maine license or active IMLC LOQ highly preferred
• Vaccinations: COVID and flu vaccination required
