Locums - Gainesville, Florida | Hospitalist Opportunity

Clinical Role

Seeking an experienced Hospitalist for an ongoing locums opportunity in Gainesville, Florida. Providers will work within a highly specialized hospital medicine program with comprehensive subspecialty and intensivist support. Days Only Position.

Assignment Details

• Start Date: December 28, 2026
• Contract Length: Approximately 1 year
• Schedule: 7-on/7-off rotation
• Shift: 7:00 am-7:00 pm
• Patient Volume: Approximately 20-22 patients per provider per day
• Hospitalist Census: Approximately 370 patients; hospitalists manage approximately 75% of the overall census
• ICU: Providers will round in the ICU
• Procedures/Vent Management: Not required; intensivist coverage is available
• Specialized Services: ICU, stroke, STEMI, transplant/cellular therapy, and complex cardiac services; no trauma
• Support: Well-staffed with access to all subspecialties
• Teaching: GME teaching program; teaching teams participate in grand rounds
• EMR: Meditech with Expanse
• Additional Coverage: APP opportunity also available
• Orientation: Standard protocol
• Requirements: Hospitalist experience, active Florida license, Florida DEA, and clean file
• Credentialing: Emergency privileges may be available
