Clinical Role
- ASAP start
- Ongoing need
- 24-hour, in-house shifts
- Level III NICU
- NICU and newborn average daily census: 20
- Approximately 1,700 deliveries annually
- 95% newborn admission rate
Practice Setting & NICU
- 22-bed Level III NICU with private rooms designed to keep families together
- New NICU opened in 2021
- Collaborative team with on-site pediatric cardiology and subspecialty support
- Advanced therapies include HFOV, HFJV, inhaled nitric oxide, and therapeutic hypothermia
- Pediatric surgery available
- No cardiac surgery except PDA ligations
- No ECMO
Requirements & Credentialing
- Active Virginia APRN/RN license required
- No compact or licensing alternative accepted
- Current APRN national specialty certification required
- Minimum master’s degree in nursing required
- Must have been clinically active within the past year
