Locums – Chattanooga, Tennessee, Vascular Surgery Job

Position Overview

• Start Date: ASAP
• Duration: Ongoing need TBD
• Setting: Inpatient
• Days per Month: 10 days
• Average Callback: 2–3 hours
• Vascular Surgeon needed for ongoing call coverage
• APPs take first call

Schedule/Availability

• 24-hour call
• 1 in 4 weekends
• Must be available for the open dates below

Dates Needed

• October 9–11
• October 23–25
• November 25–29

Practice Details

• Admissions per day: 5–6
• Patients per day: 15–20, including inpatient and outpatient
• EMR: Epic
• Support Staff: APPs who take first call

Clinical Responsibilities

• Diagnose vascular conditions using imaging and physical examinations
• Manage vascular disease through medications, diet, exercise, and patient education
• Perform minimally invasive procedures, including angioplasty, stenting, and other endovascular repairs
• Perform complex open vascular surgeries, including bypasses and aneurysm repairs
• Manage chronic vascular conditions and provide long-term care
• Respond appropriately to emergency situations
• Promote positive lifestyle habits through education and counseling
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality
• Attend meetings as requested
• Perform other duties as assigned

Types of Cases

• Vascular conditions involving arteries and veins
• Carotid and peripheral vascular disease
• Leg swelling and other lower-extremity vascular conditions
• Aneurysms and other complex vascular conditions
• Cases involving collaboration with Cardiology

Required Procedures

• Complex open vascular surgeries, including bypasses and aneurysm repairs
• Angioplasty
• Stenting
• Other endovascular repairs

Requirements

• Active Tennessee license
• Clean malpractice history
• Clean background

Credentialing: 30–90 days
