Locums – Brattleboro, Vermont, NP/PA Hospitalist Openings

Clinical Role

• Coverage begins December 2026
• Ongoing need with no current end date for the right candidate
• Daytime Hospitalist APP coverage
• 100% inpatient/hospital-based
• Adult inpatient and observation population
• Approximately 8-10 patients per day

Schedule & Coverage

• Monday-Friday
• 9:00 am-6:00 pm
• Provider remains onsite throughout the shift
• No call

Practice Setting & Clinical Expectations

• Community hospital setting
• Observation, inpatient floor, and intermediate-level care
• Respond to codes and rapid responses
• Manage step-down level patients
• Ability to stabilize critically ill patients and arrange transport to a tertiary care facility
• Ventilator management experience preferred
• No teaching or leadership responsibilities

Support & Systems

• Supportive nursing staff
• Collaborative relationships with Emergency Medicine and surgical teams
• Case management support for patient discharge
• Overnight Hospitalist physician coverage
• Cerner CommunityWorks EMR
• AI scribe support

Requirements & Credentialing

• NP or PA with adult inpatient/hospitalist medicine experience
• 2-3 years of Hospitalist experience preferred
• Acute Care APRN and applicable certifications required for Nurse Practitioners
• Active Vermont license or willingness to obtain required
