Locums – Florence, Oregon Family Medicine Physician Opening

Position Overview

• Start Date: October 1, 2026
• Family Medicine physician needed for inpatient and outpatient coverage
• Expected Duration: 12 months
• FTE: 1.0
• Reason for Opening: Gap in coverage
• Patient Population: Newborns through geriatrics
• Average Clinic Volume: 20 patients/day

Schedule & Call

• Monday–Friday: 8a–5p
• Weeknight call may be required
• Weekend call may be required, typically 7a–7a
• Call Requirement: Yes
• Schedule pending; most likely approximately 1 week/month, including weekends
• Physician will share pediatric and post-delivery call
• Pediatric call no longer required as of 8/31/2026

Practice Setting

• Setting: Inpatient & Outpatient
• Hospital: 21 beds
• Privileges: Clinic and hospital
• Rounding & Admissions: Both

Newborn/Pediatric Coverage

• Pediatric support focused on newborn assessment
• If on call, physician will assess newborns immediately after birth
• Care is provided only to the newborn, not the mother
• Newborn care may occur in the hospital and/or clinic setting
• Average Newborn Deliveries: 3–7 per month
• No obstetric-focused medical or surgical care before, during, or after pregnancy

Requirements

• Active Oregon license required
• BLS and NRP required
• Certifications must be from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, as applicable
• EMR: Epic
• Minimum Epic Experience: 1 year essential
