Position Overview
Monday - Friday 7:30a-3:30p with no call. Could be assigned to multiple facilities within the health system. The position involves vascular and non-vascular procedures including proficiency in embolization, angiograms, thrombolysis, and IVC filter placements/removals. Emergency IR procedures are expected, including trauma embolization, nephrostomies, cholecystostomies, and abscess drainages on an urgent or emergent basis. Candidates who can also read diagnostic cases between procedures are preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Vascular and Non-Vascular Procedures: Proficiency in embolization (e.g., for trauma, GI bleeds), angiograms, thrombolysis, IVC filter placements/removals, etc.
Emergency IR Procedures: Including trauma embolization (e.g., splenic, hepatic, pelvic), nephrostomies, cholecystostomies, and abscess drainages—often on an urgent or emergent basis
Diagnostic reading between procedures
Candidate Requirements
Valid, unrestricted Michigan medical license
ABR certification
DEA License
