Locum Tenens Internal Medicine Physician – Largo, Maryland

Estimated Start Date: October 19, 2026
Coverage Needed: Full-time preferred; part-time candidates considered
Estimated Shifts: Approximately 20 shifts per month
Full-Time Schedule: Monday–Thursday, morning and afternoon sessions, with approximately 9 half-day clinical sessions per week
Part-Time Schedule: 4 half-day clinical sessions per week
Shift Times:
- Morning: 8:00 AM–12:30 PM
- Afternoon: 1:00 PM–5:00 PM
Call: None
Practice Setting: Outpatient Internal Medicine resident-staffed clinic
Work Arrangement: Physician will supervise and precept Internal Medicine residents; not a solo practice
Candidate Preference: Local or drive-in candidates preferred
Preferred Experience: Prior resident precepting experience

Provide direct supervision and precept Internal Medicine residents in an outpatient clinic.
Deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to a diverse patient population.
Diagnose and manage a broad range of medical conditions through comprehensive evaluation, testing, and clinical assessment.
Prescribe and manage medications, therapies, and treatment plans.
Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and care plans.
Mentor, coach, and advise Internal Medicine residents.
Conduct formal and informal resident evaluations and provide constructive feedback to support professional development.

Average Volume: 10–14 patients per half-day session, with residents.
Full-Time Coverage: Morning and afternoon sessions Monday–Thursday, approximately 9 half-day clinical sessions per week.
Part-Time Coverage: 4 half-day clinical sessions per week.
Continuity of Care: Full-time availability is preferred to provide continuity for residents.
