Locums – Washington, Missouri | GI Hospitalist Opportunity

Clinical Role
RecruitWell is seeking a Board Certified Gastroenterologist for a locums GI Hospitalist opportunity in Washington, Missouri. This role is focused on 24-hour call coverage and inpatient Gastroenterology care. ERCP and EUS are not required for this assignment. IMLC candidates are accepted.

Assignment Details

• Coverage: 
  November 24th - November 25th
  December 22nd - December 29th
  January 5th - January 8th
  February 1st - February 2nd

• 24-hour shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM

• Approximately 5–11  24-hour shifts per month

• Need is for 1.0 FTE

• Will consider 2 part-time providers

• Coverage is not limited to weekends

• Beeper call

• Call ratio: 1:3

• 30-minute call response time required

• Approximately 4-10 patients seen

• Approximately 0–2 admissions

Clinical Details & Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient Gastroenterology coverage

• Respond to Emergency Department and hospital consultations

• Manage assigned and unassigned patients

• Provide phone consultation as needed

• Complete inpatient evaluations and admissions as clinically indicated

• Meet the 30-minute call response requirement

Procedures & Skills

• General inpatient Gastroenterology

• ERCP not required

• EUS not required

Support & Technology

• Level II/III Trauma environment

• EMR: Epic

Requirements

• Board Certified in Gastroenterology required

• Active Missouri medical license required

• IMLC candidates accepted

• ACLS required

• ATLS required

• BLS required

• Must meet a 30-minute call response time

Organization & Team

• Hospital-based Gastroenterology coverage

• 1.0 FTE need

• Two part-time providers may be considered to fulfill the schedule

• Combination of ED, inpatient, and call responsibilities
