Dates of Coverage

• November 3
• December 18
• December 19
• December 20
• December 31

Schedule & Coverage

• 24-hour shifts, 7:00 AM–7:00 AM

• Some shifts have a midwife as first call

• Weekend coverage required

• In-house and beeper/phone call coverage, with TigerText communication

• Average callback hours vary from 0–15 hours

• Coverage needed for hospital 24-hour call

Practice Details

• Inpatient/hospital-based setting

• Adult patient population

• Average daily census: 0–12 hospitalized patients

• EMR: Meditech

Responsibilities

• Perform emergency obstetric and gynecologic surgeries

• Conduct gynecologic and obstetric triage evaluations

• Manage labor and delivery

• Provide recovery and postpartum care

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology

• Active Virginia medical license

• DEA registration

• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
