Locums – Chicago, Illinois, OB Hospitalist Job

Practice Details

• Level II Specialty NICU

• Epic EMR

• 24/7 in-house anesthesia coverage

• OB and Family Practice residency programs on site

• Monthly average hospital deliveries: 153

• Approximately 14 deliveries per month for the OB hospitalist team

• Approximately 180 additional patient encounters per month, with 43% involving high-risk diagnoses

Responsibilities & Coverage

• Provide emergent gynecologic coverage

• Perform circumcisions

• Provide first-assist coverage

• Back up family practice providers and midwives

• Backup coverage is available to hospitalists

• Gynecologic cases account for approximately 6.5% of hospitalist surgical volume

Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) Coverage

• No on-site MFM services

• Outpatient MFM services are available

• Emergent cases are routed through the perinatal center

Requirements

• Board certification or board eligibility accepted in Obstetrics and Gynecology
