Clinical Role
RecruitWell is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Emergency Medicine physician for locums coverage in Loxahatchee, Florida. This is an ongoing need beginning in November 2026 with both AM and PM coverage required. Candidates must be flexible and willing to work nights.

Assignment Details

• Start: November 2026

• Ongoing need

• Typically 10-hour shifts

• AM and PM coverage needed

• Must be flexible with scheduling

• Must be willing to work nights

• Reason for need: Increased patient volume and ongoing physician recruitment need

Orientation

• Typically 2 shadow shifts

• Providers without Expanse experience may require 3 shadow shifts

• Additional 2-hour EMR training required for providers without Expanse experience

Position Highlights

• Ongoing Emergency Medicine locums opportunity

• 33 Emergency Department bays

• Approximately 1.8–2.0 patients per hour

• Adult Emergency Medicine patient population

• Dedicated pediatric unit; no pediatric coverage required

• Non-trauma facility

• 3–4 physicians and 3 APPs in the staffing model

• Standard Emergency Department support staff

• ED admission rate approximately 26–30%

Clinical Details & Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage Emergency Department patients

• Provide treatment for a broad range of adult emergency conditions

• Perform standard Emergency Medicine procedures

• Manage admissions and transfers as clinically appropriate

• Collaborate with physicians, APPs, nurses, and ancillary staff

• Maintain efficient patient flow in a busy Emergency Department

• Complete timely clinical documentation

Support & Technology

• 3–4 Emergency Medicine physicians

• 3 APPs

• Standard Emergency Department nursing and ancillary support

• No nurse or APP triage model for lower-acuity patients

• EMR: Expanse

• Previous HCA and Expanse experience preferred

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine

• Active Florida medical license required at time of presentation

• Minimum 6 months of Emergency Medicine experience preferred

• Previous HCA experience preferred

• Previous Expanse EMR experience preferred

• Must be flexible with scheduling

• Must be willing to work nights
