Clinical Role:
Seeking a Board Eligible or Board-Certified Neurosurgeon
No fellowship required - but will need to cover a Level II or higher trauma center
Required: Pennsylvania and New York state Licenses
Coverage Requested:
ASAP - Ongoing
24 Hour Call Coverage
(7am-7am)
Call Details: Both assigned and unassigned call, pager call and 2nd call/backup for spine only
Workload: Craniotomy, spinal trauma, spine Infections, brain and spine tumors
Daily surgical volume: While on call one can expect 2-6 consults. Urgent to emergent cases ~4 per week
Average Call # per 24 hours: 5
Rounding takes 1-2 hours
Average Call Back hours expected during 24 hour shift: 3
First call for stroke would go to neurology hospitalists or tele neurology
Privileges available: Full Privileges, Temp Privileges
Provider will not be required to supervise APP's or residents
