Coverage Dates

• December 17–24, 2026

• December 31, 2026

• Potential for ongoing coverage based on future scheduling needs

Schedule & Call Coverage

• 24-hour call shifts: 7:00 AM–7:00 AM

• Call ratio: 1:4

• Clinic schedule includes approximately 20 patients

• Average callback volume: Less than 1 callback per 24-hour shift

• Providers will receive calls from the answering service

• Local candidates preferred

Practice Setting

• Hospital-based OB/GYN and call coverage, with clinic responsibilities
• Trauma Level III
• 9 labor and delivery beds
• 20 postpartum beds
• 4 physicians in the practice

• Support staff includes:

  • OBHG hospitalist

  • Surgical assistants

  • 3–4 nurses per shift

• Average nursery admissions: 2–3 per day

• EMR: Epic

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour OB/GYN call coverage

• Provide clinic care for scheduled patients

• Manage hospital patients, including labor and delivery and inpatient rounding

• Care for unassigned patients presenting to the hospital

• Perform required obstetric and gynecologic procedures

• Coordinate care with maternal-fetal medicine (MFM), which manages most high-risk patients

Required Procedures

• Cesarean sections

• Vaginal deliveries

• Suction dilation and curettage (D&C)

• Ectopic pregnancy management

• Ovarian torsion management

• Abnormal uterine bleeding management

Requirements

• Board certified in OB/GYN

• Active Virginia medical license

• Active Virginia DEA and CSR

Required Certifications

• ACLS

• BLS

• ABOG
