Locum Tenens – Cardiac Electrophysiologist

Location: Towson, Maryland
Start Date: October 13, 2026
Schedule: Thursdays and Fridays, 7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Estimated Shifts: 6 per month

Clinical Role

• Primarily provide procedural coverage in the electrophysiology (EP) lab.

• Perform approximately 3–4 procedures per day.

• Ideally, candidates should be comfortable performing catheter ablations and cardiac implantable electronic device procedures.

• Procedural responsibilities may be tailored to the physician’s experience, skills, and credentials.

• Participate in pre-procedure assessments and provide appropriate post-procedure coverage.

• Outpatient clinic coverage may be available based on operational needs.

• Clinic responsibilities may include new and follow-up consultations, ECG review, cardiac monitor interpretation, and implanted device review.

• Work alongside an established EP team, including nurses, technologists, and advanced practice providers.

• The physician may work independently.

• Call: None.

• EMR: Epic.

Qualifications

• Board-certified in Cardiac Electrophysiology.

• Minimum 2 years of experience.

• Active Maryland medical license required to apply, or a current IMLC designation eligible for expedited Maryland licensure.

• DEA registration required.

• ACLS certification required.

• Controlled substance registration (CSR) required.

Candidate Preferences

• Local candidates prioritized.

• Availability for Thursday and Friday shifts preferred.

• Flexibility to provide procedural coverage and occasional outpatient clinic support.
