Job Details

• Coverage Dates: November 2 or November 3, 2026

• Shift: 7:00 AM–7:00 AM (24-hour in-house coverage)

• Setting: Inpatient

• Department: Pediatrics and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)

• Patient Volume: 7–15 patients per day

• Patient Population: Newborns through 18 years old

• EMR: Cerner

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide in-house coverage for pediatric and PICU patients.

• Manage pediatric trauma cases, including patients requiring neurosurgical care.

• Perform intubations, central line placement, arterial line placement, and lumbar punctures (LPs).

Facility Details

• The facility is an adult Level I trauma center for the state and receives a significant volume of pediatric trauma patients, including some requiring neurosurgical intervention.

• ECMO, CRRT, and transplant services are not required.
