Job Details

• Coverage Type: Backup call coverage for the laborist

• Call Type: Second call / backup

• Call Ratio: 5 calls

• On-Site Requirements: Provider does not need to remain on-site during call but must stay within 30 minutes of the hospital and be available to come in when called.

• Patient Assignment: Provider will be called only for patients established with the practice. No hospital calls for unassigned patients.

• Average Call Activity per 24 Hours:

  • 3 phone consultations

  • 5 patients seen

  • 3 admissions

• EMR: Cerner

Coverage Dates

• November 20–30: November 20 at 5:30 PM through November 30 at 7:00 AM

• December 11–14: December 11 at 5:30 PM through December 14 at 7:00 AM

• December 21–28: December 21 at 7:00 AM through December 28 at 7:00 AM

• January 8–11: January 8 at 5:30 PM through January 11 at 7:00 AM

• January 25–February 1: January 25 at 7:00 AM through February 1 at 7:00 AM

Facility Details

• Trauma Level: Level III

• Hospital Certification: Stroke certified

Support Staff

• 4 Medical Assistants (MAs)

• 1 Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (NP/PA)

• 3 office staff members

Provider Requirements

• Board-certified in OB/GYN

• Active Texas medical license required

• Fellowship required

• ACLS certification required

• BLS certification required
