Job Details

• Shift Hours: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM

• Lunch Break: 30 minutes

• Coverage Needed: 2–3 weeks per month, Monday–Friday

• Coverage Type: Scheduled shifts

• Call Responsibilities: None

• EMR: Epic

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care in an ambulatory surgery center.

• Work in a combination of medical direction and personally performing cases.

• Support outpatient procedures across multiple specialties, excluding cardiac and OB cases.

• Perform regional anesthesia and nerve blocks for orthopedic cases, which make up a significant portion of the workload.

Patient Population

• All ages

• Primarily patients age 1 and older in the outpatient setting

• Occasional patients younger than 1 year may be seen for ENT procedures, including ear tubes and tonsillectomies.

Support Staff

• Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs)

Provider Requirements

• Board-certified in Anesthesiology

• Active Pennsylvania medical license or IMLC Letter of Qualification (LOQ)

• DEA registration required

• PALS certification required

• ACLS certification required

• BLS certification required

• 2+ years of experience preferred
