Locums - Bryan, Texas, Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery Opening

Clinical Role
RecruitWell is seeking a Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgeon for locums coverage in Bryan, Texas. This inpatient opportunity includes daytime rounding, 24-hour call, Cardiothoracic Surgery coverage, and backup support for Cath Lab procedures.

Coverage Dates

• November 13, 2026 at 7:00 AM – November 16, 2026 at 7:00 AM

• December 4, 2026 at 7:00 AM – December 7, 2026 at 7:00 AM

Assignment Details

• Inpatient setting

• Hospital rounding: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

• Call coverage: 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM

• Daytime rounding plus call

• Average fewer than 5 admissions per day

Clinical Details & Responsibilities

• Provide Cardiothoracic Surgery coverage

• Complete inpatient rounding

• Manage admissions and surgical consultations

• Participate in 24-hour call coverage

• Provide backup for Cath Lab procedures

• Manage Cardiothoracic surgical cases

• Collaborate with the onsite Nurse Practitioner and other clinical teams

• Complete timely clinical documentation

Support & Technology

• 1 hospital-based Nurse Practitioner available for support

• EMR currently Meditech

• Transition to Epic scheduled for October 30, 2026

Requirements

• Board Certification highly preferred

• Truly Board Eligible candidates may be considered

• Active Texas medical license required

• Clean malpractice history highly preferred

• Must be comfortable providing Cardiothoracic Surgery call and Cath Lab backup
