Locums – Corpus Christi, Texas, Internal Medicine Job

Start Date: ASAP

Schedule & Shift Details

• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• No late clinic hours
• No call coverage
• No after-hours charting
• Contract Length: Ongoing until a permanent physician is hired

Practice Details

• Outpatient clinic setting

• 100% outpatient practice

• Serves Driscoll employees and their adult dependents

• Adult patients only

• Full-spectrum Internal Medicine patient population

• Average daily patient volume: 8–16 patients

Clinical Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat acute medical conditions.

• Manage chronic medical conditions.

• Provide preventive medicine and wellness care.

• Coordinate patient care and specialty referrals.

• Order and interpret diagnostic testing.

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives.

• Perform comprehensive physical examinations.

• Develop individualized treatment plans.

• Provide preventive care services.

• Document patient care appropriately.

Specialty Experience

• Internal Medicine

• Experience managing acute and chronic conditions

• Preventive care and wellness services

• Care coordination and referral management

• Diagnostic testing and interpretation

EMR & Technology

• EMR: Elation

• Apple Mac computers are utilized throughout the practice.

Leadership & Teaching

• No leadership responsibilities.

• No teaching requirements.

Requirements

• Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in Internal Medicine

• Active Texas medical license.

• BLS certification.

• 2–3 years of practice experience preferred.

Credentialing

• Estimated timeframe: 2–4 weeks.
