Locums - Lebanon, Pennsylvania, Cardiothoracic Surgery Opening

Clinical Role
RecruitWell is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Cardiothoracic Surgeon for weekend locums coverage in Lebanon, Pennsylvania. This is a hospital-based role focused on urgent surgical needs, Cardiothoracic Surgery backup, and 24-hour weekend call.

Coverage Dates

• January 15, 2027 at 12:00 PM – January 18, 2027 at 7:00 AM

• January 22, 2027 at 12:00 PM – January 25, 2027 at 7:00 AM

• February 12, 2027 at 12:00 PM – February 15, 2027 at 7:00 AM

• February 19, 2027 at 12:00 PM – February 22, 2027 at 7:00 AM

• March 26, 2027 at 12:00 PM – March 29, 2027 at 7:00 AM

Assignment Details

• Friday at 12:00 PM – Monday at 7:00 AM

• 24-hour call

• Approximately 3 weekends of coverage needed per month

• Average callback and rounding time: approximately 2–4 hours per day

• Adult patient population, ages 18+

Clinical Details & Responsibilities

• Provide Cardiothoracic Surgery call coverage

• Manage urgent surgical cases

• Evaluate patients requiring surgical consultation following cardiac catheterization

• Provide operative care when immediate intervention is necessary

• Manage stable patients conservatively when surgery can safely be deferred

• Provide surgical backup following consultation

• Participate in inpatient rounding and postoperative management

• No TAVR procedures required

Support & Practice Environment

• Hospital-based setting

• APP support available

• 163-bed setting

• EMR: Epic

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiac Surgery required

• Active Pennsylvania medical license required

• DEA required

• Minimum 1 year of experience required

Credentialing

• Approximately 60 days

• Temporary privileges may be available for candidates with a clean credentialing file
