Seeking an OB/GYN laborist/hospitalist
Must have an active Illinois medical license
Must have the qualifications and experience necessary to manage labor and delivery patients
ACLS and BLS required
Coverage needed as soon as possible
Estimated start date: December 7, 2026, dependent on credentialing and privilege approval
Day and night coverage needed, including some weekends
Day shift: 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.
Night shift: 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.
Facility averages approximately 2,500 deliveries annually
Responsibilities include:
- Managing labor and delivery and caring for patients throughout labor
- Rounding on obstetric patients
- Providing OB hospitalist coverage during assigned shifts
- Collaborating with the clinical team, including residents
An intern and senior resident are present daily to support patient care
Temporary privileges may be available for select providers with a clean credentialing file who meet facility requirements
Temporary privileges are subject to facility approval and completion of required credentialing items
Specific coverage dates and additional clinical responsibilities are to be confirmed
