Locums – Altoona, Pennsylvania, Vascular Neurology Job

Clinical Role:

• Seeking a vascular neurologist

• Must have completed a vascular neurology fellowship

• New fellowship graduates welcome

• Coverage needed seven consecutive days each month, Monday–Sunday

• Monday–Friday: 7:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., including stroke on-call coverage

• Saturday–Sunday: 7:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m., rounding on stroke patients

• Responsibilities include:

  • Morning inpatient rounding on up to 20 patients

  • Inpatient consultations

  • Emergency department consultations

  • Responding to stroke codes

  • Placing orders as needed in a consulting role

• Hospitalists admit patients; the locum vascular neurologist serves as a consultant

• Provider will work solo

• Average admissions while on call: seven

• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and stroke certification

• EMR: Epic Bridges
