Clinical Role
RecruitWell is seeking an experienced CRNA for a full-time locums opportunity in Fredericksburg, Virginia. This role includes a broad surgical case mix, Level II Trauma exposure, required OB and Thoracic experience, and occasional floating between multiple practice locations.

Assignment Details

• Start: February 1, 2027

• Initial duration: 24 weeks

• 6- or 12-month commitment preferred

• Approximately 36–40 hours per week

• Full-time availability required

• Flexible scheduling with 8-, 10-, and 12-hour shifts

• Primarily day shifts with occasional night coverage

• Schedule posted approximately 8 weeks in advance

• Up to 3 schedule requests per 8-week schedule; requests are not guaranteed

• One early start at 7:00 AM may be required per 8-week schedule

Call & Weekend Coverage

• Availability for approximately 1 weekend shift per month if needed

• 1 call shift per 8-week schedule

• Call may be:

  • 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM overnight beeper call, or

  • 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM weekend call

• Scheduler will coordinate call and weekend dates with the CRNA

Clinical Details & Case Mix

• Medical direction model approximately 4:1

• Broad case mix excluding transplant cases

• Cardiac

• Thoracic

• OB

• Orthopedics

• GI

• ENT

• Healthy pediatric Dental / ENT

• Electrophysiology

• Vascular

• General surgical cases

• Heavy OB and Thoracic volume

Procedures & Skills

• CRNAs perform their own epidurals

• Spinal placement and management required

• Epidural placement and management required

• No peripheral nerve blocks required

• Block opportunities are not guaranteed

• Level II Trauma experience required

Practice Environment

• May float between multiple practice locations

• Includes main OR, satellite hospital, and ambulatory surgery setting

• Pediatric experience preferred due to occasional pediatric coverage

Requirements

• Board Certified through NBCRNA required

• Minimum 2 years of CRNA experience required

• OB experience required

• Thoracic experience required

• Level II Trauma experience required

• BLS required

• Pediatric experience preferred

• Local candidates highly preferred

• Must be flexible with shift lengths, location, and occasional call / weekend coverage
