Locums – Phoenix, Arizona, Hematology/Oncology Job (IMLC Accepted)

Clinical Role
RecruitWell is seeking a Board Certified Hematology/Oncology physician for ongoing locums coverage in Phoenix, Arizona. This is an inpatient opportunity focused on Oncology consultations, continuity of care, and coordination of appropriate outpatient follow-up.

January 2027

• January 4–10

• January 11–17

• January 18–24

• January 25–31

February 2027

• February 1–7

• February 8–14

• February 15–21

• February 22–28

March 2027

• March 1–7

• March 8–14

• March 15–21

• March 22–28

Each coverage block ends at 7:00 AM the following morning.

Assignment Details

• Ongoing for approximately 1 year or until a permanent physician is hired

• Minimum commitment of 2 weeks per month

• Additional provider availability may be considered

• 24-hour call: 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM

• Monday–Sunday coverage blocks

• Inpatient setting

Clinical Details & Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient Hematology/Oncology coverage

• Evaluate and manage all Oncology consultations

• Approximately 12–15 consults per week

• Coordinate hospital follow-up with the outpatient team to support continuity of care

• No procedures required

Support & Technology

• 2 Oncology APPs available Monday–Friday

• EMR: Cerner

• Hospital billing system: Ingenious Med

Orientation

• New provider orientation

• EMR training

• Hospital billing system training during the first week

Requirements

• Board Certified in Hematology and Medical Oncology required

• Active Arizona medical license or IMLC pathway accepted

• ACLS and BLS highly preferred; must be willing to obtain during credentialing

• DEA required for credentialing

• Transferred DEA may be considered but must remain active for the full duration of the assignment
