Locums - Shelby, North Carolina, Hematology/Oncology Opening

Clinical Role
RecruitWell is seeking a Hematology/Oncology physician for ongoing locums coverage in Shelby, North Carolina. This opportunity includes outpatient clinic, hospital-based call coverage, and a dedicated administrative day each week.

Assignment Details

• Start: February 3, 2027

• Ongoing need

• Monday–Friday

• 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

• 4 clinic days per week

• 1 administrative day per week

• Multiple providers may be considered

Clinical Details & Responsibilities

• Provide Hematology/Oncology clinic coverage

• Approximately 15 clinic patients per shift

• Manage assigned and unassigned patients

• Approximately 5 phone consultations

• Bone marrow procedure capability preferred

• Coordinate care with infusion, inpatient, and specialty teams

Call Coverage

• Regional night call: Approximately 5 nights per month

• Night call: 5:00 PM – 8:00 AM

• Day call: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

• Call ratio: 2:5

Practice Environment

• 30-chair infusion center

• Stroke-certified setting

• Level I Trauma environment

• EMR: Epic

Requirements

• Active North Carolina medical license required

• Hematology/Oncology fellowship required

• BLS required
