Locums - Northampton, Massachusetts, GI Hospitalist Opening

Clinical Role
RecruitWell is seeking a Board Certified Gastroenterologist for ongoing locums GI Hospitalist coverage in Northampton, Massachusetts. This hospital-based role includes weekday inpatient coverage, overnight call, and optional weekend call.

• January 1–8

• January 15–22

February 2027

• February 5–12

March / April 2027

Assignment Details

• Minimum commitment: Weekday coverage or weekend call

• Monday–Friday day shift: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM

• 10-hour daytime shifts

• Monday–Thursday night call: 5:00 PM – 7:00 AM

• Physician serves as second call overnight due to PA support

• No PA coverage from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM, which may result in additional physician calls during that window

• Optional weekend call: Friday at 3:00 PM – Monday at 7:00 AM

Clinical Details & Responsibilities

• Round each morning

• Perform add-on GI cases as needed

• Daytime work typically concludes around 5:00 PM

• Provide hospital-based Gastroenterology coverage

• Adult patient population

Procedures

• Upper endoscopy

• Lower endoscopy

• Colonoscopy

• General GI procedures

Technology

• EMR: Epic

Requirements

• Board Certified in Gastroenterology required

• Active Massachusetts medical license required

• BLS required

• DEA required

• Minimum 1 year of experience required
